Four generations of Andersons have perfected each recipe resulting in delicious creations including the hard-to-find molasses sponge candy, chocolate dipped ginger as well as old favorites like rich chewy caramel and buttery, crunch English toffee.

Established in 1919, Anderson's was founded by Arthur Anderson. He opened a small shop on Armitage Avenue in Chicago with a used copper kettle and less than a hundred dollars to his name. In the early years, a make-good gift from larger local chocolate and flavoring companies would help him expand his business. If he made good, he would pay them back. And he did!
Driven by rising rent Arthur and his family left the city in 1926 and bought a house on what is today Route 12 in Richmond. Arthur and his wife Gertrude ran their business out of the front porch and living room.
Arthur Anderson's motto was, "no fancy packaging just the best candy you can buy." And that is what a fourth-generation of Anderson's holds to today. Prioritizing making THE BEST chocolate candies any where for customers including families on a weekend trip to large corporations looking for the perfect client gifts.
For more than three decades Leif Anderson and his wife Tracy worked together to continue the tradition. A tradition which Leif's daughter Katie, and Tracy together still carry on to this day!
