Classic Cinemas, based in Downers Grove, Illinois, is a family-owned movie exhibitor operated by Chris Johnson. Established in 1978, by Willis and Shirley Johnson, Classic Cinemas operates 141 screens at 16 locations in the Midwest. Every auditorium is equipped with state-of-the-art 4K digital projection and sound technology to ensure the best presentation possible. Classic Cinemas has been delivering 2-hour vacations to movie-goers for over 40 years and Chris Johnson was recently acknowledged by NATO and Box Office Magazine as the Operator of the Year 2024.
