Getting Grounded to Ascend: A day of play...with Rich logan
Any of the courses can be taken separately, but they can lend themselves to a deeper overall knowledge of a practice that may start in the physical, but taken together can bring us through all the corresponding layers towards what we call enlightenment in Yoga. The journey seems far at times, but we are ultimately just a breath away from our own source.
"Morning practice 10-1: Coming back to the Earth" with Rich Logan
Whether we sit, stand or invert we have a connection to the earth. How do we utilize the connection and bring it to the bone? Ultimately the bones are the earthen element. When we plant the seed its roots go deeper and the potential to ascend becomes a reality. Standing poses and the appropriate alignment, unique for each of us, gives us immediate access to our own roots. The more grounded at the contact point with earth, the more likely we can feel the bones floating upwards. And the awareness of our own root, in this case, our pelvic floor, we can start to feel how the appropriate alignment of the bones lends us to a buoyancy in the pelvic floor. The lessons there in, can be translated to seated poses readily, and give us clues into the commitment needed to have more grounded inversions.
