More About Our Trainings
- QPR Suicide Prevention Training is a one-hour, evidence-based public health model that teaches participants to recognize the warning signs that someone may be thinking of ending their life, and how to react in a three step method: Question, Persuade, and Refer. The training also covers key local resources. We have successfully delivered this training throughout workplaces of many sizes. The recommended donation for this training is $200 per session.
- Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour, evidence-based training that teaches individuals to recognize the signs and stages of a mental health crisis, and how to react. The course is often referred to as the “CPR” of mental health. This training is held throughout the year at NAMI and is open to the community (click here to see upcoming trainings), or we can plan an onsite training for a larger group. This training is perfect for Human Resources professionals or supervisors who encounter employees struggling with their mental health. The recommended donation is $100 per participant, or contact us for more information on a private presentation.
- Mental Health Workshops are facilitated by our recovery support team and involve teaching skills or debriefing events. Our team can come into your workplace to help debrief a traumatic incident and/or teaching skills to help employees improve their mental health, such as coping techniques. All presentations also include information about free local resources where employees can receive additional assistance. The recommended donation is $200 per one-hour session.
