Fido Fest Returns to Grant Community High School on May 9 The Canine Connections Club is pleased to welcome the community back to Fido Fest, our annual adoption and fundraising event, on Saturday, May 9, from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM. This free, family-friendly celebration will be held in the East Gym at Grant Community High School, with entry through the auditorium doors. This year’s event brings together several returning rescue organizations, many favorite vendors, and exciting new additions—including an extra guest speaker and a doggy fashion show. Guests of all ages can enjoy activities such as face painting and games. Food and refreshments will be available throughout the event. The Dawg Bowl concession stand will be open, Nothing Bundt Cakes will be on-site, and 7 Brew Coffee will generously provide 150 free iced drinks around noon. Attendees may also use our event QR code (available on our website) to purchase fundraising items such as raffle tickets, painted rocks, dog toys, and paw-themed magnets. A major highlight will be our raffle basket showcase, featuring dozens of themed baskets with prizes ranging from restaurant gift cards and entertainment experiences to pet products, books, toys, seasonal items, and more. All proceeds will support the four rescue organizations participating in this year’s event. Please note that we ask guests to leave their dogs at home unless they are registered participants in the doggy fashion show. We look forward to welcoming community members to this special event celebrating dogs, local partnerships, and compassionate care.
