We are seeking a skilled and experienced Installer to join our team at TREND Transformations of Chicago. We specialize in the installation of stone countertops/surfaces and cabinet refacing. The successful candidate will be responsible for actively participating in the hands-on fabrication and installation of our countertops and cabinet refacing, ensuring all projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. This is a customer-facing role, so strong interpersonal skills are a must.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform cabinet refacing installations, including the removal of old cabinet doors and drawers, prepping surfaces, and installing new doors, drawers, hinges, and glides.
• Measure, cut, and install veneer or rigid thermofoil to cabinet boxes with precision.
• Fabricate granite and other stone countertops to required specifications.
• Actively perform hands-on installations of stone countertops/surfaces.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues during the installation process.
• Ensure all installations meet company standards and customer expectations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all job sites.
• Communicate effectively with customers to ensure their needs are met and to explain the installation process.
• Work closely with other team members to complete projects efficiently and on time.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of carpentry experience, preferably in cabinet installation or refacing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or detailed instructions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Clean driving record.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be able to pass a drug and background check.

Preferred Technical Skills:

• Experience using wet saws and/or bridge saws.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Experience with stone polishers.
• Lamination and seam-setting experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort working in various environments, including residential homes.

Schedule:

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, start time 7:00 AM.
• Overtime opportunities available as needed to meet project deadlines.
• Typically 8-hour workdays; occasional overtime may be required.
• Year-round work with a consistent workload.
• No weekend work required.
