Many Opportunities to Celebrate Pollinator Week in McHenry County!
This year Pollinator Week is celebrated June 22-28. Pollinator Week is an annual celebration to raise
awareness for pollinators and spread the word about what we can do to protect them.
Here in McHenry County, a coalition of conservation groups are sponsoring eleven events consisting
of talks, walks, stewardship events and a bioblitz where attendees will learn about pollinators and the
native plants that support them. Find the full schedule of activities running from June 17th to June 30th
at tinyurl.com/PollinatorWk. There you will find dates, times, directions and registration links if
registration is required.
Highlights
Kicking off Pollinator Week from 4-5 pm on Monday, June 22 at the Cary Public Library is a free

founded in 2021 in Illinois that recognize the best nature and climate books published each year for
kids.
