Welcome to Chain-O-Lakes Eagles R/C Club's Hands On Introduction To Flight!
AGES: 9-12
Join the Chain-O-Lakes Eagles RC Club for an Exciting Pop-up STEM Class! Located at the Fox Lake Lakefront Park building. 10 Riverview Ave. Fox Lake, IL 60020
Discover the Four Forces of Flight: Learn about lift, weight, thrust, and drag while
building your own “Chuck Glider”! Experienced flyers from the Chain-O-Lakes Eagles RC Club will guide you in this hands-on class.
What’s in Store: Introduction: A brief overview of the four forces of flight.
Build Your Glider: Assemble your Chuck Glider using foam board and a touch of hot glue.
Test and Tune: Once built, test-fly your glider in the gym and fine-tune its flight characteristics.
Launch Your Creation: Hand-launch or use a rubber band to send your durable aircraft soaring. Perfect for both indoor and outdoor adventures!
Why Attend?: This class is a fantastic foundation for anyone interested in model aviation. More model aviation classes to come, stay tuned.
